This Privacy Policy explains what information we handle when you use manoknapula.net, and the choices available to you.
Information We Collect
We offer no user accounts, comments, contact forms or newsletter. We handle three kinds of information:
Server logs.
When you open a page or download a file, the hosting servers record technical details of the request: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the requested address, the referring page and the time of the request.
Analytics data.
Google Analytics records how pages are used, as described under “Cookies, Analytics and Advertising”.
Emails you send.
If you write to hi@manoknapula.net, we receive your email address and your message.
How We Use Logs, Analytics Data and Emails
Server logs are used to deliver pages and downloads, protect the site against abuse and attacks, and diagnose errors.
Analytics reports show which pages and downloads readers use, so we can decide which guides to correct or expand.
Emails are used to reply to you and to keep a record of requests such as corrections and copyright notices.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use Google Analytics to count visits. Google Analytics sets its own cookies in your browser (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and sends Google details of your visit: the pages you open, the links and download buttons you click, your device and browser type, your approximate location and the page that referred you. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We see combined reports, not the identity of individual readers.
You can stop Google Analytics from measuring your visits with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser settings. How Google uses information from sites that use its services explains Google’s own use of this data.
The site runs no advertising scripts and sets no advertising cookies. Login cookies are set only for site administrators who sign in to manage the site.
Hosting, Analytics, Caching and Email Providers
Hostinger
Provides the web hosting and content delivery network. Server logs are processed on Hostinger’s infrastructure.
Google Analytics
(Google LLC) measures visits as described under “Cookies, Analytics and Advertising”.
LiteSpeed Cache
Stores ready-made copies of pages on the server so they load faster. It does not build profiles of visitors.
Email provider.
The service that hosts the hi@manoknapula.net mailbox stores the messages sent to that address.
Links to Other Websites
Pages link to services such as Google Play, the App Store, VirusTotal, BlueStacks and YouTube. When you follow a link, that service receives your request and its own privacy policy applies.
How Long Information Is Kept
Server logs are kept for the retention period of the hosting provider’s logging system. Google Analytics keeps visit-level data for 2 months; combined reports remain available after that. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up, then deleted.
Your Rights Under the Data Privacy Act
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and similar laws, you can ask to be informed about, access, correct, object to the processing of, and request the erasure or blocking of personal information about you. You can also request a copy of that information in a portable format, claim damages where the law allows, and file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission. Information About Children
We offer no accounts or forms and do not knowingly collect information from children. A parent or guardian can email hi@manoknapula.net to ask us to delete an email a child sent.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
A change in how we handle information appears in this Privacy Policy before the change takes effect.
